Fortdiscovery is a tour of the historic Fort with fun and challenging activities at various locations. There is plenty to discover in the Fort. But what exactly, you get to decide. Will you go on a culinary tour or would you rather see how good you are at archery? Whatever activities you choose, you will do everything together with your colleagues. Who will prove themselves as historians? And which colleague is actually braver than you think? You'll find out with Fort Discovery.
Fort Island IJmuiden is the ideal location for company outings, culminating in Fortdiscovery. Under the guidance of a PBN instructor, teams are challenged with various team assignments while further exploring the fort in between.
In addition to Fortdiscovery, the island offers a variety of elective programs, from historical tours or archery to abseiling. Thus, there is something fun for everyone to do. The day can be concluded with a cozy BBQ or buffet, perfect for afterglow and enjoyment together.

Fort Island IJmuiden is part of The Defense Line of Amsterdam and Unesco World Heritage Site. The fort was built around 1885 to defend Amsterdam. The fort on Fort Island is the largest of the entire Defense Line. Giant almost. Complete with domed hall, murals, labyrinth and bunkers, it is a site to feast your eyes on. A historic location but equipped with all modern conveniences.

The fort has beautiful rooms for different group sizes. Ranging from the Dome Room for up to 190 people plenary to the intimate Commander's Room for 6. All rooms are unique and feature beamer, screen, sound, wifi and Nespresso machine.
