Fort Island Mystery is an unforgettable program on the Fort Island in IJmuiden. It is much more than just an Escape room. It is a unique challenge and unforgettable experience.
Fort Island Mystery begins as early as the Kop van de Haven in IJmuiden, where you board De Fortwachter. This exclusive crossing takes you across the water to one of the most unique and mysterious locations in the Netherlands: the Fort Island IJmuiden, a historic stronghold and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Upon arrival at the imposing 1881 Fort, we will take you on a short historical tour of the historic Fort. As you wander through the hallways and vaults, you will feel the rich history that this place breathes. Then we welcome you with coffee, tea or another delicious beverage, while you get an introduction about one of our most exciting activities: the Team Escaperoom - The Von Braun Mystery.
This escape experience takes place in an authentic World War II bunker and is the ultimate challenge for teams who want to work together and think strategically. But that's not all! The day ends with a 5-course shared dinner in the Fort's most beautiful room, God's Window. A boardroom overlooking the sea. With our chef chef Dick Bos behind the pans, you'll enjoy a culinary experience at a location you won't find anywhere else. A program that participants will be talking about for a long time.
The von Braun Mystery
Introducing: Wernher von Braun. Call him a champion of space exploration. A leading figure in the development of rockets in Germany and America. But also: a controversial man because he participated in Nazi Germany's rocket program.
Enough riddles surrounding this Wernher. It's up to you to unravel the mystery that Von Braun was working on on Fort Island IJmuiden. Since he left for America, the bunker in which Wernher experimented has not been visited.
