A Shortbreak IJmuiden is a mix of the Fort Island IJmuiden and Pavilion Nova Zembla.
PBN has 2 locations in IJmuiden, the Fort Island and Beach Pavilion Nova Zembla. Together with the Leonardo Beach hotel, this is a unique triptych where all locations are easily accessible.
During a shortbreak IJmuiden it is no longer necessary to move by car. From the Leonardo Hotel you can move on foot to Paviljoen Nova Zembla and on the other side is the marina. By boat we move in 10 minutes to the Fort Island IJmuiden.
2 unique locations, each with its own characteristics. A full program of teamwork or individual activities. Something for everyone and a customized program.
Give the shortbreak a business touch? Both locations are equipped with meeting facilities such as a beamer, screen and wifi. So you can give a business touch to your shortbreak.

Fort Island IJmuiden
Fort Island IJmuiden is part of The Defense Line of Amsterdam and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The fort was built around 1885 to defend Amsterdam. The fort on Fort Island is the largest of the entire Defence Line. From teamwork activities to individual challenges and with many different meeting rooms. A historic location, but with all modern conveniences.
Pavilion Nova Zembla
Our pavilion is located on the Kennemermeer lake and has its own private beach. Furthermore you
a beautiful view, phenomenal sunsets, original and challenging
activities, a large campfire area and delicious BBQ.
Leonardo Hotel or Basecamp IJmuiden
Right between the Fort Island and Nova Zembla is the 4-star Leonardo Hotel. This offers an ideal accommodation option during the 2-day trip. From the lobby of the hotel, we walk directly into the marina and on the other side of the hotel, Nova Zembla is a 100 meter walk away. The Fort Island is accessible by three boats.
